Spartan Academy is the leader on Functional Training. Our job is to make you better!

With us you will gain technical skills and learn to spot the common technical faults that are needed to instruct people in a safe manner.

You will also gain deeper understanding on how to construct efficient drills for different fitness goals. Basic information on human anatomy is provided as well as the characters of a good fitness instructor will be discussed in the course.

From the far north comes power and courage. A stone-hard will to work on both body and soul


Take your functional training to the top with the guidance from industry pioneers. Spartan instructor training will help you find the best elements to support your workout and forge you into a combat-ready warrior.

Our training is aimed at all fitness enthusiasts interested in functional training, Cross-training, CrossFit and martial arts.


Antti Nurmi

I have worked for the last 25 years of my career with the toughest experts in fitness and martial arts training, educating at hundreds of events all around the world. Army, police, firefighters and athletes in the fitness industry. Hong Kong, Ghana, Nigeria, USA, Thailand, Kuwait, Sweden, Poland, Hungary, Ireland, England…the list is ever-growing.

Based on experience and lesson learned in the field, I will keep developing the Spartan Academy instructor training to provide the industry with the best and most up-to-date training in fitness and combat sports. I also provide expert instruction in Spartan Academy Kettlebell and Functional Fitness training.

Our training is based on the following themes:

- kettlebell exercises, basics

- bodyweight exercises & Flow training

- Using a partner as resistance

- Barbell complex

- muscle maintentance and recovery, 3D-Mobility

- recognizing sport-specific demands

- theory on effective training, preventing injuries and progressive progress

Total time: 8 hours
